Suharji: An Evaluation on the Application of the Training Program on Mathematics at the Educational Quality Assurance Institution (EQAI) Yogyakarta.
This research was aimed at revealing: a) the readiness of EQAI Yogyakarta to conduct trainings for junior high school (JHS) mathematics teachers; b) implementation of the teaching process of the trainings; c) the achievement of the teachers following the trainings; and d) the effectiveness of the training.
This evaluation research employed the input-process-output approach. The data were collected using a questionnaire and observation form, and through interviews, and photo documentation. It was conducted at the Educational Quality Assurance Institution (EQAI) Special Territory of Yogyakarta. The respondents were JHS mathematics teachers, facilitators, and the committee. The data were analyzed descriptively.
The results show that a) the evaluation on the input shows that the trainees meet the requirements set by the institution and are ready to follow the programs, and the facilitators (trainers) are well prepared and meet the standard. b) The evaluation on the process shows that the teaching-learning process is effective since the trainers equip themselves with teaching supporting facilities. c) The level of success of the trainees is within good category. d) The evaluation on the output shows that the committee works effectively.
